B. Ray Bratcher, 92, of McPherson, KS and formerly of Maysville, OK, peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022, surrounded by family at Brookdale Assisted Living, McPherson. He was a farmer and also was a gas plant operator, pipeline operator, and truck driver.
Ray was born on May 11, 1930, in Washington, OK. He graduated from high school in Maysville, OK.
He served in the United States Air Force.
On April 15, 1950, Ray was united in marriage to Winonah Frances White in Gainesville, TX. She preceded him in death on February 28, 1986. He married Leona Mabel (Jacobson) Whited on April 3, 1997, in McPherson, KS.
Survivors include his wife Leona; children Mike Bratcher (Lou Rice) of Houston, TX, Kent Bratcher (Rhonda) of Yukon, OK, Gary Bratcher (Donna Taylor) of Dallas, TX, Gary Wayne Whited (Arnell) of Hutchinson, KS, Ron Whited (Carolyn) of Grifton, NC, and Wanda Weyand (Robert) of McPherson, KS; a brother, Garland Bratcher (Vivian) of Maysville, OK; 14 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother Eula Bratcher, and siblings Joyce Carlberg, Wanda Johnson, and Burnis Bratcher.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at Stockham Family Funeral Home, McPherson. A service and burial will be held in Maysville, OK.
