MCPHERSON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 9 a.m. Wednesday in McPherson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Honda Civic driven by Layton Redell Cobb, 30, Galva, was northbound on Interstate 135 just north of Arrowhead Road.
The car crossed through the center median to the southbound lanes of Interstate 135, struck the guardrail on the west side of the interstate, crossed back through the median to the northbound lanes, traveled into the ditch through the KDOT fence on the east side and struck multiple trees in a nearby field before coming to rest.
EMS transported Cobb to the hospital in McPherson. He was properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
