Police: Investigation prompts after two puppies stolen from west Salina home

Law enforcement is investigating a case where two puppies were stolen from a west Salina home.

According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on the morning of June 24, residents of a west Salina home reported that an unknown assailant entered their residence through an unsecured door and stole two English Bulldog puppies

The puppies were reported to be only 2 weeks old, according to SPD.

The stolen pups were in the kitchen with three other puppies and their mother at the time of the burglary.

Three individuals were home at the time and nobody heard anything throughout the night.

Description of English Bulldog puppies:

- Male: black in color, with white markings on his head.

- Female: black and gray in color, with a white face and white/pink ear.

The owner estimated the value of each puppy at $5,000.
