Billie Jean Rowland, age 85, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Marquis Place, Concordia, KS. She was born on September 3, 1937 in Dawson, NE to Carl and Sadie (Schuler) Miller.

She grew up and attended schools in NE.

She married Pete E. Rowland, Jr. on February 19, 1977 in Junction City, KS. He preceded her on April 29, 1994.

She was a homemaker and they moved to Clyde, KS in August 1989 and she later moved to Concordia. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

She is survived by her sons Timothy Rowland (Brandi) and Luke Rowland, Concordia and Raymond Rowland, AR; brother Ora Miller, Port Orchard, WA and five grandchildren.

She was preceded by her husband Pete; her parents and sister Doris Rowland.

It was Billie’s wishes to be cremated and a graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Clyde, KS with Fr. Steven Heina officiating.

The family suggests memorials to Meadowlark Hospice in care of Chaput Mortuary, P.O. Box 291, Clyde, KS 66938.
