With just one day away before the Primary Election on August 4, here is some important information to know before casting your vote.
Voting on Tuesday will occur from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
What to bring before voting:
Government issued photo ID
- Kansas driver's license
- Kansas nondriver ID
- U.S. passport
- Military ID
- Government employee ID
- Kansas college or university student ID
- Tribal ID
- Kansas concealed carry license
If you do not have an ID on you when you vote, you will then fill a provisional ballot. To have it counted, you will need to present valid photo ID to your county election office by the deadline set under Kansas law.
Where to vote:
If you are a registered voter in Kansas, you can find your voting location on Voter View.
You will need to enter the following:
- First and last name.
- Date of birth.
Click the "look up" option, and it will show your location to vote.
You will also gain access to a sample ballot according to your party after entering your information.

Constitutional Amendment for selection of Kansas Supreme Court Justices
The constitutional amendment to change the selection of the Kansas Supreme Court Justices will be on the ballot.
If you vote "yes," then you are favor of giving Kansas citizens the right to elect Kansas supreme court justices as provided by law. Justices will hold office for terms of six years. The Kansas Supreme court nominating commission, whose membership consists of a majority of lawyers, would be abolished
If you vote "no," then you are in favor of continuing the current system in which the Kansas supreme court nominating commission, whose membership consists of a majority of lawyers, provides the governor a list of three individuals to choose from for vacancies on the Kansas supreme court. Justices hold office for a term of six years and retain their offices if they win a retention election in which they do not face an opponent.
