The Southeast of Saline Trojan track and field teams put on a show in their final meet before regionals next week.
SES returned from the league track meet in Beloit with a combined 313 points and a first and second place finish.
The girls team finished second, just 51 points off the pace of the hosts in Beloit.
Jentrie Alderson had another strong day, posting the only two wins of the meet for the girls in the 1600 and 3200.
Alderson wasn’t the only athlete to score big points for SES however, as Ashley Prochazka collected three second place finishes in the 800, 1600 and 3200.
Ivie Douglas had a silver finish of her own in the shot put to add to her bronze in the discus throw.
Rounding out the podium places, SES found third place finishes from Jadyn Humphry in the high jump, Brynn Hawbaker in the long jump and Avery Caselman in the triple jump.
The team also placed second in the 4x800 meter relay and third in the 4x1.
On the boys side, the team continued their improbable perfect season, winning their eighth straight meet with 201 points, 82 clear of Beloit in second.
It was another big day for Chase Poague, who won both the 110 and 300-meter hurdles and placed second in the 100-meter dash.
SES looked even more dominant than usual in the distance races, with Dylan Sprecker winning the 800 and 1600, and Dominic Jackson winning the 3200.
The Trojans locked out all three of those podiums, as Luke Gleason finished second in the 800 and third in the 1600, Dominic Jackson finished second in the 1600, Damion Jackson finished second in the 3200, Drake Augustine finished third in the 800 and Joel Kejr finished third in the 3200.
Kanin Elkins and Grant Stumpf got the final individual wins of the day for SES in the 400 and high jump while Nakari Morrical-Palmer added big points with second place finishes in the 200 and 400.
Rounding out podium places, Stumpf took third in the 110-meter hurdles while Jude Golden did the same in the javelin throw.
For a third straight week, the Trojans swept the relays, bringing home the gold in the 4x1, 4x4 and 4x800.
Both teams will return to Beloit for the regional meet next Friday.
