Additionally, the winds, combined with lowering humidity levels will result in very high grassland fire danger this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita.
NWS in Wichita has issued a wind advisory in effect from 1-6 p.m. Sunday for Marion County.
North winds 25 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph are expected.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
NWS in Wichita also has issued a wind advisory in effect from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday for the following counties in our area.
Ellsworth County
Lincoln County
McPherson County
Saline County
