John R. Merriman, 82, Minneapolis, died Friday, September 27, 2024, with his family at his side. He was born April 11, 1942, in Tescott to John E. and Ethel C. (Nolf) Merriman.
John was a 1960 graduate of Tescott High School. He and Rosalie Wagner were married August 18, 1968, in Edmond. He was a lifelong beef farmer and longtime truck driver for Graves Trucking. John and Rosalie lived on the farm until they moved to Minneapolis six years ago.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Rosalie; and brother-in-law, Doug Cramb.
Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Rosalie; daughters, Judy Ann and Becky Rae Webb and her husband, Jr. all of Minneapolis; brother, Dan Merriman and his wife, Priscilla; sister, Rose Cramb; numerous nieces and nephews; and his fur babies, Avery, Axel, and Cherrio.
The family would like to thank the staff at Minneapolis Health and Rehabilitation Center for the great care they gave to John during his short stay.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday, September 30, 2024, at Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467. Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Culver Union Cemetery, Culver. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Minneapolis First Presbyterian Church and be left in care of the funeral home.
