One driver suffered possible minor injuries and another was cited after a three-vehicle wreck late Wednesday afternoon in central Salina.
Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning that Brad Arnold, 61, of Salina, was westbound on E. Crawford Street in a 2005 Buick Rendezvous when he failed to stop at the red light at the S. Front Street intersection and struck a northbound 2017 Nissan Versa driven by Shane Mayer, 36, of Salina.
The impact of the collision sent the Versa into a southbound 2017 Ford Explorer driven by Amy Zuercher, 54, of Salina.
The wreck occurred at approximately 5:35 p.m. Wednesday.
Mayer reported possible minor injuries, but was not transported by EMS to the hospital, Forrester said. The other two drivers were not injured; neither was an 11-year-old boy who was a passenger in Arnold's SUV.
Both the Rendezvous and the Explorer sustained front-end damage, but were driven away by their respective drivers. The Versa also sustained front-end damage, but was towed from the scene.
Forrester said that Arnold was cited for failing to stop at the stoplight.
