Two people were injured in an accident at approximately 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Saline County.

Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan reported a black 2017 Chevy Silverado driven by, Jackson Hurst, 28 of Dallas, Texas was eastbound on Interstate 70 near mile marker 248.
The pickup rear-ended a 2013 Ford Edge driven by Alvin Urban, 90 of Rush County Kansas. Also in the vehicle was Urban's wife Elaine.

"They'd had a bit had an issue with one of their tires," Soldan said. "They were driving on a donut and were going about 50 mph when the guy rear-ended them.
EMS transported Elaine and Alvin to Salina Regional Health Center for minor injuries.
Soldan said Hurst, who was not injured, was cited for following too closely.
