Salina man hospitalized after 3-vehicle crash

DICKINSON COUNTY — Two people were injured in an accident just just before 6p.m. Friday in Dickinson County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Buick Lucerne driven by Peter J. Henry, 31, Salina, was eastbound on Interstate 70 five miles west of Abilene.

The driver lost control and swerved into the median. The Buick traveled out of the median and struck a westbound 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Dennis A. Berry, 51, Wichita. 

The Buick then left the roadway into the north ditch and rolled. The Jeep pulled to the north shoulder of the westbound lane.

A westbound 2016 Toyota Rav4 driven by Leza R. Degener, 57, Hiram, Georgia, struck debris from the collision.

EMS transported Henry to Salina Regional Health Center and Berry to the hospital in Abilene. Degner was not injured. All three were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
