A Salina man was arrested Sunday night on requested charges of aggravated battery and aggravated assault after he allegedly threatened a family member with a shotgun.
Officers were sent to a residence in the 2400 block of Drake Place at approximately 9:45 p.m. Sunday for the report of a domestic disturbance, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning.

A 43-year-old man was in bed when Daniel Baffa, 75, of Salina, allegedly entered the bedroom and pointed a Remington 20 gauge shotgun at him, Forrester said. Baffa then allegedly poked the man in the chest with the shotgun and demanded to know where his cigarettes were.
The man was able to call 911 and, at that point, Baffa allegedly let go of the shotgun and left the room, Forrester said. Additionally, it was reported to police that Baffa allegedly was intoxicated, Forrester added.
Baffa was arrested on requested charges of aggravated battery and aggravated assault, Forrester said.
