Three juveniles were caught and with stealing a vehicle in Salina.
According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on Saturday at around 10:30 am, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Russell for the report of a stolen vehicle. A 19-year old male stated he left his keys in a white 2006 Kia Amanti, before it was stolen.
Value of the Kia is $4,000.
SPD reviewed FLOCK cameras and spotted the vehicle in Oakdale Park at around 1:50 pm that same day. An officer discovered three males were inside the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop, but did not comply.
The vehicle went to Front Street and turned onto Johnstown where it came to a stop. Once the vehicle stopped, the three exited the vehicle and ran away.
However, the three were captured and were identified as two 13-year old males and 14-year old male.
All three were placed on requested charges of Theft and were released by SPD.
