NEW ORLEANS, La. - With just one week remaining before the 2021 NJCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championships, the Cloud County Community College track and field teams continue to hold down top-three spots inside the latest United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association Top 25 polls.

Fresh off a pair of NJCAA Region VI Indoor Track and Field Titles, the Cloud County women remain the top-ranked team in the land for the fifth-straight week while the T-Bird men drop one spot from second to third.

The women scored 383.52 points in the computer-generated poll this week as CCCC would be the only team in the top six to hold the same spot in the rankings as last week. Making a big move up from number five to number two would be South Plains College with 352.46 points while Iowa Western would move up one spot to third (333.03 points).

In the men's poll, Cloud County would pick up points in the computer-generated poll despite falling in the rankings as the T-Birds scored 301.26 points after coming in last week with 293.90 points. CCCC would wind up swapping places with South Plains College in the poll as the Texans had a big week in just their fourth competition of the year to take over the number two-spot.

The T-Bird track and field teams are off this week but will be back in action next weekend at the 2021 NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Pittsburg. CCCC will look to cap off what has been a historical year that has seen the T-Bird women win their first NJCAA Region VI Championship in 40 years while athletes on both the men's and women's teams have set NJCAA top-10 all-time marks in events this year.
