Abilene's Village Manor receives five-star rating

Posted Oct 23, 2021 12:05 PM

ABILENE - Village Manor in Abilene, an affiliate of Memorial Health System (MHS), has been awarded five stars by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

The rating will be published on the Care Compare website at medicare.gov.

Nursing homes with five stars, the highest rating possible, are considered to be well above average quality. The system determines an overall star rating for each nursing home and a separate rating for health inspections, staffing, and quality measures, which offer information on how well nursing homes are caring for their residents’ physical and clinical needs. The star rating system is designed to help consumers, their families, and caregivers compare nursing homes more easily and to help identify areas about which consumers may want to ask questions.

“It takes teamwork and dedicated staff to attain something like this. This rating reflects our team’s hard work and commitment to our residents here at Village Manor,” said Village Manor Executive Director Andy Sutter.

“I’m proud of how hard our staff works at Village Manor. This is confirmation of the quality of care provided to our residents,” said MHS Chief Executive Officer Harold Courtois.
