A proclamation, employee policy revisions, and discussion of the designation of an official county newspaper are among the items on the Saline County Commission agenda for Tuesday.
About the meeting
Saline County Commission is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday in room 107 of the City-County Building, 300 W. Ash Street. The meetings also can be viewed on Saline County’s YouTube channel:

Agenda items
Commissioners are scheduled to consider proclaiming April 2023 as National County Government Month.
Additionally, commissioners are scheduled to consider a request from Rural Fire District No. 5 to approve the purchase of tools to be used for vehicle rescues in the district and county. Those tools include the following.
●A TNT Extension Ram with accessory kits
●A TNT hydraulic spreader
●A Milwaukee Super Sawzall
●A Milwaukee light tower
●A Milwaukee six-pack 110v charging system
●A four-pack of 12 amp Milwaukee batteries
According to information in the commission meeting packet, the total cost would be approximately $22,315.
Other items on the county agenda for Tuesday include the following.
●A request for employee policy revisions
●Consider approving a cost-sharing agreement for Pictometry Imagery and software between the county and the City of Salina.
●Consider awarding the bids for the county's 2023 hot-mix asphalt pavement, crack repair, and shouldering work.
Additionally, commissioners are scheduled to meet for the following two concept discussions.
●Designation of the official county newspaper
●Discussion of a request for a quote for temporary senior executive services
