A fire destroys 100 acres of grassland in Saline County.

According to the Saline County Sheriff's Office on Friday at around 1:30 am, deputies and Rural Fire District 1 were dispatched to Assaria and Niles Roads for the report of a grass fire.

Reportedly,&nbsp;The fire started at the top of a utility pole in the 5700 block of Assaria Road owned by DS&amp;O Electric who responded and secured the pole and power lines.

Approximately 100 acres of grassland were burnt with no financial loss, according to the Sheriff's Office

RFD 1 had the fire under control in under an hour.
