MANHEIM, Pa. - With two individuals ranked in their respective weight class, the Fort Hays State wrestling team was ranked 19th in the latest edition of the NWCA Division II Coaches Poll, released Friday by the National Wrestling Coaches Association.

The Tigers earned 20 points in the voting process.

After a 3-1 start to the season, sophomore Mason Turner maintained his spot as the second-ranked wrestler at 125 pounds. Also 3-1 to start the year, senior A.J. Cooper moved up one spot to ninth in the 285-pound listing.

Both Turner and Cooper have two wins via pin this season, ranked in the top 15 among Division II wrestlers this year.

The poll is a tournament power index ranking, meaning point totals are broken down by individual rankings and are not based on a team's dual strength.

The Tigers, 1-3 in duals so far this season, will face off with a pair of teams receiving votes in the poll in Saturday's Midwest Duals. Colorado State-Pueblo has two wrestlers ranked, while Western Colorado has one individual listed.
