Salina 2027 proposed budget scheduled for public hearing, increase in mill levy

Salina's proposed budget for 2027 and Revenue Neutral Rate (RNR) will be heard during a public meeting before finalization.

The city commission public meeting for the 2027 budget will be on  Monday, September 14 at 4:00 pm at the City-County building on 300 W. Ash Street.

According to the city, the 2027 proposed budget establishes a maximum mill levy of 29.568 mills. This mill levy should allocate approximately $13,508,159 to the general fund and $3,372,476 to the bond and interest fund. 

This equals a total property tax levy of $16,880,635.
