Stephen L. Mick, 71, Minneapolis, died Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at the Salina Regional Health Center. He was born August 17, 1951, in Beloit to James and Leola (Belden) Mick.
Steve was a 1969 graduate of Bennington High School.
After serving a four year apprenticeship, he worked for 44 years with the Local 441 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union where he became a foreman and supervisor.
He also served six years in the United States Air Force Reserves.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 35 years, Patricia (Simpson) Mick; and his brother, Michael Mick; and stepbrother, Gary Copple.
Survivors are his wife Karen; daughters Sharie Thille and Kris Schwartz and her husband Mitch; stepson, DuWayne Suffield and his wife Jodi; brother Norman Mick and his wife Nancy; sister-in-law Leanna Mick; stepbrothers Roger and John Copple; grandchildren Alyssa, Kaden, and Ky Schwartz, Morgan, Logan, and Leiryn Thille; Braden and Mallory Suffield, and Bryce and Meggan Suffield; great-grandchildren Hayley and Caleb Suffield, Presley Werth, Dexter and Asher Dreher, and Leonard and Theoden Pinzenscham; mother-in-law, Irmagene Goodman; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m.to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, April 16 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 17 at the First United Methodist Church, Minneapolis. Private graveside services with military honors will be in Highland Cemetery on Wednesday, April 19.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the V.F.W. Auxiliary #3201 and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
