
Ronald E. Dean was born September 29, 1950 in Albany, New York, the son of John and Jean (McDiffit) Dean. He passed away June 17, 2025 at the Meadowlark Hills Retirement Community in Manhattan.
Following graduation from high school, Ron served his country for 20 years in the United States Army and the National Guard.
He worked for ABB in Enterprise in the Maintenance Department until it closed and then was in maintenance for Russell Stover Candies in Abilene.
Ron enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was united in marriage to Kathy Walker on February 3, 1973 in Junction City. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his daughters Bobby Jo West of Salina, Karen Dean of Junction City, Kansas, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Son Ron on June 3, 1992, and his parents.
Cremation is planned and a graveside service for Ron will be 10:30 am Sunday, July 6, 2025 at the Prairie Mound Cemetery near Solomon with Pastor Keith Acker officiating.
