Eric Joseph Rego, 36, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020. He was born May 10, 1984, to Elaine (Elliott) and Ernie Rego in Salina, Kan.
Eric was a loving and devoted husband and father. Eric attended school at Southeast of Saline and graduated in 2011 from the Salina Adult Education Center. He later attended North Central Kansas Technical College in Beloit, and graduated with a heavy equipment operator degree.
Eric had such a love for life, you never saw him without a smile on his face. He knew no stranger and was always the first one there to help anyone that needed it. He was always proud of every accomplishment he made. Eric will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Eric enjoyed spending time making memories with his wife and children, working on his Honda Prelude, watching the Dallas Cowboys play, listening to music and spending time playing disc golf.
Eric is survived by his wife Amanda Rego and 6 children, Eden, Ezmai, Kaylona, Draven, Briley and Jastyn; parents, Elaine and Ernie Rego; brother, Eddie Rego; sister, Misty Brown; grandmother, Lois Elliott; nieces, Kaydence Rego, Eva Moore, Riley Moore, Elize Marks, and Ashyra Duke; nephews, Aiden Rego, Liam Rego, Carter Moore and Kingston Brown.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather Byron Elliott and Joseph Rego; grandmother Emily Rego and father-in-law Mike Baker.
A private memorial service will be held for immediate family at Ryan Mortuary. Memorials may be sent to Ryan Mortuary or the Eric Rego Memorial at First Bank Kansas in lieu of flowers.
A public celebration of life will be held at a later date for additional friends and family. A publication to announce this event will be made.
