Singers from Salina are set to compete in the Karaoke National Championships this coming August.
According to Brandon Pangburn owner/operator for TI3R Music Entertainment, four singers from Salina are heading to Las Vegas for the Karaoke National Championships happening from Monday, August 11th - Thursday, August 14th. The singers going to Vegas are:
Madison Rediker, Bruce Fire (Manhattan, KS), Dhani Caldwell and duet Lance Berland/Kristi Elliott.
All competed in the state finals that occurred on Saturday, July 12th in Hays. Rediker earned 1st place, Fire came in 2nd and Caldwell won 3rd in the state finals.
Garrett Rediker manager of Speakeasy in Salina is the father of Madison Rediker, and commented that it was a 'proud dad moment' for him after seeing his daughter take 1st place at the state finals.
"She (Madison) never really knew how good she was and I have always been her biggest supporter," said Garrett Rediker. "It was a proud dad moment."
Those who advance from the National Championships in Vegas, will head to sing at the Karaoke World Championships that will take place from Monday, November 3rd - Saturday, November 8th in Bangkok, Thailand.
