Gusty southwest winds will produce dangerous fire conditions today.
Part of the area will see very high grassland fire danger. Outdoor burning is not recommended and be mindful of anything that may cause a spark.
Scattered thunderstorms will be possible tonight, with eastern Kansas into the Flint Hills having the better chances to see storms. The stronger storms will be capable of producing nickel to quarter sized hail along with 50 to 60 mph winds.
