Bruce Alan Winder, age 75, was born on July 14, 1950, in Russell, Kansas, and passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, in Osborne, Kansas.

Bruce grew up on the family farm, which he loved deeply, and he enjoyed spending time outdoors and playing sports during his school years. Throughout his life, he lived in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska. He worked for many years for the State of Kansas as a Driver’s License Examiner and later as a Line Technician with Pfizer, where he retired before returning to his hometown of Osborne.

After coming back to Osborne, Bruce enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his great-nephews participate in sporting and athletic events. Bruce was well known at family gatherings for bringing his homemade cherry pie and barbecue little smokies—favorites that everyone looked forward to. He also enjoyed spending time with his great friends Gina and Ortha Goheen, and Gina’s dog, Rebel, who was his best friend.

Bruce is survived by his children: Bruce Auer of Abilene, Amy Bailey of Wichita, Krisda Winder of Joplin, Jalea Winder of Joplin, and Brenna Trowbridge of Eudora, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings: Linda Simon of Osborne, Pat Zimmerman of Wichita, and Richard Winder of Osborne, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Kimberly Ellison of Osawatomie, his son Bruce Daniel Winder of Joplin, his brother Kenny Winder of Osborne, and his parents Carl and Ruth (Murphy) Winder of Osborne.
