Salina Police Department (SPD) officers are investigating the theft of a vehicle reported on Sunday afternoon in the 600 block of North 11th Street.
According to Capt. James Feldman, officers were dispatched around 2 p.m. after a 29-year-old male resident reported his red 2010 Ford Fusion stolen.
"The victim reported he had jump-started his vehicle and left it running, and went to check on something. When he came back, the vehicle was missing," Feldman said.
A witness in the area reported seeing a white female wearing a floppy light pink beanie and a black coat near the scene. SPD officers believe they may have identified the suspect and are actively searching for the vehicle valued at $6,000.
The stolen vehicle has a Kansas license plate number 968AGP.
