Delores A. Pilcher passed away July 28, 2024, at her home in Bennington KS. Delores was the daughter of Glenn E. and Gladys (Young) Lacy. She was born July 4, 1940, outside of Miltonvale KS. Delores graduated from Miltonvale High School in 1957 and was united in marriage to Arnold Pilcher on July 28, 1957. Together Delores and Arnie had three children Randy, Renee and RaShelle, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren,

Delores loved her family and often hosted many amazing holidays and Sunday lunches. She loved trips to Branson, country music, flowers and her pets. Her faith in God was very important to her, and her prayer was for her family to know Jesus. During the late 70’s Delores became a foster parent, during that time she made a lasting impression on many children with her unconditional love.

Grandma P. will be remembered for her smile, her compassion, selfless love, baby dolls, beanie babies her wop rolls and June bugs.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents; son Randy; former husband Arnold Pilcher; and her second husband, Gene Rankin. She is survived by Renee (Bob) Boss, RaShelle (Tim) Hensley; daughter-in-law Kris Langdon; and brother Glenn Lee (Janice) Lacy. Seven grandchildren, Alison (Mitch) Swagerty, Lacy Boss, Rob (Susan) Boss, Kylee (Austin) Fick and Zach, Zeb, and Zane Hensley; and eleven great grandchildren, Kinley and Hudson Swagerty, Mathew, Gunnar, Hunter and Tucker Boss, Audrey, Sawyer and Reagan Fick, Eli and Aiden Hensley, and many nieces and nephews. The family wants to thank Angie Myers for the wonderful care she gave Delores.

Private burial will be in Miltonvale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 400 P.M. to 6:00 P.M., Sunday, August 4 at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis. Memorials can be made to the United Church of Bennington or the Salina Animal Shelter and may be left in care of Wilson Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 166, Minneapolis, KS 67467.
