Kathy Lee Frohardt (Manbeck) passed away November 11th, 2024 at the Good Shepard Hospice House in Manhattan, Kansas surrounded by her children and her sister.
Kathy was born January 31, 1945 in Salina, Kansas to Chuck and Lois Manbeck. Kathy attended elementary school in Milford, Kansas. The family later moved to Chapman where she attended junior hgh school and graduated from Dickinson County Community High School with the class of 1963.
On October 4th, 1964 Kathy married the love of her life James (Jim) Frohardt. Jim and Kathy lived in Chapman where she was a home maker and owned and operated Chapman Florist. She was a proud mom of 2 children her daughter Tina and son Shawn and 2 grandsons Joel and Trent Jordan.
Kathy could be found attending sporting events or music programs that her children or grandchildren or nieces or nephews participated in, or watching K-State or Kansas City Chiefs football. Kathy was also involved in the Chapman area Preservation Society.
Kathy is survived by her daughter Tina Frohardt and son Shawn Frohardt both of Chapman. Her 4-legged son Riley, her grandsons Joel Jordan of Junction City, Kansas and Trent Jordan (Steph) of rural Chapman and her sister Vicki Rehm (Dean) of Abilene, and half-sister Denise Weeks of Blue Eye MO. Niece Stacia Wiley(Darin) of Chapman, Chad Livingston (Michelle) Abilene, Brian Livingston (Angie) of Olathe and great nieces and nephews Tori and Jaxon Foy, Kathleen Livingston.
Kathy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years James Frohardt, her parents Chuck and Lois Manbeck and her in laws Lavern and Myrtle Frohardt.
A celebration of life will be held at the Chapman United Methodist Church Saturday November 30th, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Chapman Area Preservation Society or Dickinson County Home Health and Hospice.
