UPDATE 10 a.m. Wednesday: The dense fog advisory has been allowed to expire.

The people of Jewell and Mitchell counties woke up to a dense fog advisory this morning. 

The National Weather Service in Hastings, Neb., issued the advisory, effective until 10 a.m. Wednesday, that includes Jewell and Mitchell counties.

Visibility of less than a quarter mile in dense fog is forecast, causing hazardous driving conditions. Slowdown in areas of low visibility to give you a better chance to react while driving.
