The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) plans to begin a field survey on Tuesday for the detailed design of proposed bridge improvements on Kansas Highway 18 in Lincoln County.
The location being surveyed is for bridge replacement over the Saline river drainage, approximately one mile east of Kansas Highway 252.
The survey will take place on the existing highway alignment.
KDOT expects the survey to be completed by Feb. 18. Activities include the use of survey instruments on the ground to determine locations of existing features within the corridor.
A member of the survey crew will contact property owners or tenants for permission to enter private property.
Kara LaRiviere, field survey project manager of BG Consultants, will be in charge of this survey for KDOT.
