Wind chill advisories issued across our area

Additional wind chill advisories have been issued for counties in our area.

The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a wind chill advisory in effect from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 11 a.m. Wednesday for the following counties in our area.

Marion County

McPherson County

Saline County

Wind chills will range from 15 to 20 below zero.

The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Use caution while traveling. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.

Lincoln County

Temperatures in the single digits will combine with breezy north winds resulting in wind chills as low as 20 below zero on Wednesday morning.

The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Use caution while traveling. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.

The National Weather Service in Topeka has issued a wind chill advisory in effect from 8 p.m. Tuesday to 11 a.m. Wednesday for the following counties in our area.

Cloud County

Dickinson County

Ottawa County

Republic County

Wind chills from 15 below zero to as low as 20 below zero are forecast.

The cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Use caution while traveling. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.

The National Weather Service in Hastings, Neb., has issued a wind chill advisory from 6 p.m. Tuesday to noon Wednesday for the following counties in our area.

Mitchell County

Wind chills as low as 20 below zero are expected across north-central Kansas.

The cold wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Use caution while traveling. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.
