Salina USD 305 is now asking parents and guardians interested in the district's new virtual K-12 program to sign up for more information.
The program will be available for the 2021-2022 school year, according to information on the district website.
"The new virtual school is being created to address the interest in online learning that surfaced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some students found success in a flexible, virtual classroom and wish to continue this style of learning. Some families prefer virtual learning in light of the global pandemic," the district noted in an April release about the hiring of Tracy Hutton as the virtual school principal.
