🏀 Sacred Heart sweeps Hillsboro in opening round of Trojan Classic

Sacred Heart sweeps Hillsboro in the opening round of the Trojan Classic. The Lady Knights started things off with a 48-28 victory over the Lady Trojans, on the boys’ side Sacred Heart wins big 78-44.

Girls: Sacred Heart 48 Hillsboro 28

The Lady Knights came out of the gates locked in defensively only allowing 5 points in the first quarter and would lead 10-5 going into the second. Sacred Heart made it impossible for the Lady Trojans to score, only allowing 4 field goals in the first half and would lead at intermission 20-10.

Addie Lee would fire up in the third quarter and go off scoring 11, the Lady Knights would outscore Hillsboro 19-7 and find themselves leading 39-17 going into the final quarter of play. The Lee sisters would contribute huge in the win defensively and the Lady Knights win it 48-28.

The Lady Knights were led in scoring by Skylar Douglas she filled the stat line with 22, while Addie Lee would add 11.

The Lady Knights move to 10-3 and will take on the 1 seeded Remington on Friday at 6pm in Hillsboro.

Boys: Sacred Heart 78 Hillsboro 44

The Knights would jump on Hillsboro early and would force them to only three field goals in the first quarter. Defense would lock in early and lead Hillsboro 20-9 and going to intermission the Knights would extend the lead 48-18.

The Knights were connecting from all areas of the floor; Sacred Heart would hit 13 from deep range half of those coming in the third quarter of play. Noah Hines would contribute big in the third quarter and lead over the Trojans 68-32 at the end of the third.

The Knights would not slow down and roll past the 8 seed Hillsboro Trojans 78-44 in the opening round of the Trojan Classic.

The Knights had four go into double digits, Will Tuttle(19), Noah Hines(16), Dom Matteuci(12), and Kolton Sprague(12).
