Dangerous heat to continue Thursday

Dangerous heat is forecast to continue for a large part of the state on Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service in Wichita, a heat advisory remains in effect until 8 p.m. Thursday for the following counties in our area.

Lincoln County

Marion County

McPherson County

Saline County

Afternoon heat index values from 102 to 105 are expected.

Additionally, the National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a heat advisory in effect until 8 p.m. Thursday for Ellsworth County.

Afternoon heat index values from 102 to 106 are expected.

A heat advisory remains in effect until 8 p.m. Thursday for the following counties in our area, according to the National Weather Service in Topeka.

Clay County

Cloud County

Dickinson County

Ottawa County

Heat index values of 105 to 110 are forecast.

Additionally, a heat advisory remains in effect until 8 p.m. Thursday for Republic County, according to the National Weather Service in Topeka.

Heat index values of 105 to 110 are forecast.

The National Weather Service in Hastings, Neb., has issued a heat advisory in effect from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday for the following counties in our area.

Jewell County

Mitchell County

Heat index values up to 104 are expected.
