Agenda items
Commissioners are scheduled to consider a request to approve a new inmate communications platform vendor for use in the current and new Saline County Jail. Staff is recommending that Smart Communications be selected as the new vendor.
The new platform will have no budget impact and the systems at each of the jails would be installed at no cost to Saline County, according to the commission request for action.
Additionally, the Information Technology Department is asking commissioners to approve the purchase of six copier/printer devices from Document 360 Solutions. The total cost would be $21,916.64, the request for action noted.
Five of the copier/printers would be installed in the Saline County Health Department, according to the request for action. The other device would be used in the Planning and Zoning Department.
The current copiers have been in use since 2014, according to information from the county.
"Consolidated Printing of Salina originally won this bid on May 24th, 2022, at a total cost of $21,916.64 but due to supply chain problems they are unable to deliver the copiers," staff noted in the request for action.
Commissioners also are scheduled to consider setting commission meeting dates for 2023.
