Steven Frank Ward

Steven Frank Ward, son of the late Frank and Margaret Ward, was born on March 31, 1958, in Bussac, France. He passed away June 1st, 2024.
He graduated from Salina Central High School in 1976. He then went on to proudly serve in the US Army from 1980 to 1983 as a combat engineer.
For the last 29 years, Steve worked at Union Pacific railroad as a locomotive engineer.
He married the love of his life Brenda Hustus November 2nd, 1985. From this marriage, they had 2 sons - Eric and Andrew Ward.
Anyone who knew Steve knows that he loved Jeeps, adored his sons, and melted for his first granddaughter, Olivia. He greatly enjoyed country cruising with his wife, fried chicken, and American history.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Ward of the home, his two sons Eric (Kayla) Ward, of Chapman, KS and Andrew Ward, Kansas City, MO. Sisters Linda (Dan) Magathan, Pamela (Randy) Jenkins, Kathryn Prather, Julie (Scott) Boyce, brother Michael (Sheila) Ward and one granddaughter Olivia Ward.
Steven is preceded in death by his parents and sister Beverly Fletcher.
In lieu of flowers, the family politely suggests memorials to the American Legion post 62 in c/o Roselawn Burial and Cremation Services.
Celebration of life will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, June 8th at Roselawn Burial and Cremation Services; 1920 E Crawford St, Salina, KS 67401. Inurnment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors by the VFW Post #1432 of Salina.
