Semi rams into City of Salina Water Department truck after its tire blew out

On the morning of Thursday, June 5th a semi-truck ran into a City of Salina's Water Department truck on 1020 N. 9th.

According to the Salina Police Department at around 9:00 am, a City of Salina Water Dept. truck was parked on the side of 1020 N. 9th and a few moments later, a semi-truck that was going northbound on N. 9th ran into the truck after its right-front passenger tire blew out.

The driver of the semi lost control and ran over a light pole along with a fire hydrant. Nobody was in the water department's truck when the accident happened and no injuries were reported.

Salina Police responded to the scene and roads were not closed.
