Michael Andrew Wilson, 68, entered into his new life without pain, confusion, or decisions to make, when he passed away unexpectedly at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina on April 27, the day before his birthday.

"Mike" as he was known, was born in Arkansas City, Kansas on April 28, 1954. His parents were Doyle J. Wilson and Eunice A. (Rose) Borthwick.

When Mike was younger, he attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Salina.

Mike married Jayne VanBlaricon. Even though this marriage dissolved recently, the love through the years, still leaves fond memories.

Survivors include his son Tyler Wilson (Shaina Jones) of Salina; stepdaughter Jayme VanBlaricon-Smith of Topeka, Kansas; and three beautiful grandchildren, Jace, Braxton, and Paisley.

Other survivors include his siblings David Wilson (Lyn), of Clyo, Georgia; sister Judy Stotts (Benny), of Moore, Oklahoma; adopted half-sister, Dawn Morse (Eddie) of Glasco, Kansas. Mike had several other siblings that were half or step that he grew up with, and has numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Amelia.

Mike worked for Advance Auto Parts Distribution Center for over 25 years. He also worked part-time for different auctioneers in Salina and spent many weekends at the Auction House.

He had a passion for sports, baseball, basketball, and football. He enjoyed watching his grandson play baseball and was always bragging on each of his grandkids' achievements. He was so proud of them.

Mike often spoke of the garage band he was a part of and enjoyed music. He loved animals, going to the casino, and trips to Savannah, Georgia, and Mexico beaches. When he was younger, he went to California to visit his grandparents.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 3rd, at First Baptist Church, 843 Lewis Ave., Salina.

Mike will be deeply missed by family and a big circle of friends.

Memorials may be made to the family for his grandchildren, in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio St., Salina.
