CONCORDIA - Cloud County Community College sophomore baseball player Ian Riley has been named Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Player of the Week for his performance for the T-Birds in a four-game sweep over Dodge City Community College last weekend.

Reaching base in 15 out of 19 plate appearances for Cloud County over the weekend, Riley played a big role in CCCC's series sweep over the Conquistadors as the T-Birds would earn a second-straight KJCCC series victory and first conference sweep of the season for their seventh-straight victory. Riley's home run in game one of the series would break a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the fifth as the T-Birds would earn a 3-1 victory over the Conquistadors. The Austin, Texas, native would then add another home run in the series finale on the first pitch of the game out in Dodge City as Cloud County would score the first five runs of the game and never trail in what would be a 13-9 victory to finish off the four-game sweep.

On the season, Riley is hitting .386 and has an on-base percentage of .553 while leading the KJCCC in home runs with nine. Riley also ranks fourth in stolen bases with 13 and 26th in runs batted in with 23 despite hitting in the leadoff position for 22 of the 29 games he has started in.
