After an unseasonably warm day on Monday with highs in the upper 60s and 70s, it will turn much colder as Arctic air overspreads the area by Tuesday with highs only in the 20s and 30s.

Arctic air will become firmly entrenched across the area by Tuesday night with wind chills as low as 10 to 15 below zero across central Kansas and sub-zero wind chills across most of the rest of south-central and eastern Kansas.
