BROOKINGS, S.D. - Kansas Wesleyan Indoor Track pulled off one of its biggest All-America hauls in program history this weekend at the 2024 NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships.
The Coyotes had four individuals and relays earn All-America status.
Wesleyan's four All-America performances were highlighted by Carter Huyser earning third place in the 800m earning his 10th NAIA All-America honor of his career. He ran a time of 1:52.02 in the race.
Madisyn Ehrlich earned All-America honors in the 1000m finishing seventh. Her time of 2:59.52 earned her All-Amerca honors after qualifying with a school record 2:56.66.
The men's 4x800m relay team of Ty Davidson, Wyatt Johnson, Julian Avila and Carter Huyser earned All-America honors finishing seventh and setting a new school record with a time of 7:41.59 in the preliminaries. The Coyotes ran a 7:57.84 in the finals.
The women's distance medley relay team of Josie Koppes, Shelby Lingle, Joni Schroeder and Madisyn Ehrlich earned All-America honors finishing seventh. The team had a time of 12:28.49 to earn the All-America honor.
Also participating for the Coyotes at the NAIA National was Julian Avila who finished 10th in the 1000m with a time of 2:30.24.
Freshman phenom Damion Jackson placed 23rd in the 3000m preliminaries with a time of 8:49.70.
