SALINA, KAN. - Good voter turnout in Salina for this election. Polls are open until seven tonight.

"We had a line wrapped around the site and before we opened at seven (A.M.) we counted 32 people waiting to get in," said one poll worker at First Christian Church in Salina. "As of two this afternoon we've already had 726 people vote at this location alone."
Saline County Election clerk Tammy Arnold said this election is grabbing a lot of interest from voters with more than 6,500 voting in the county before the noon hour was over.
One Salina voter said he had to make it out this time to have his voice heard.
"I just want to see things move in the right direction," said Ethan. "And I want to have the best influence that I can."
Ethan says he is not 100-percent always voting. But this time was a must.
"Ah, not always, I guess it's just been too much to get out the door and I don't know if it will have much impact," said Ethan. "But I think this time, you know, too much is up in the air."

Arnold says there are 57 precincts in the county and you have to go to your precinct to vote on election day.
Some say not voting - is just not an option.

Dave Walker says everyone has to have their voice heard and voting is the ultimate way to make that happen.
"It's one of my constitutional rights," said Walker. "Part of our government and how we get to choose who guides us. Every election since I turned 21."
