WICHITA – Wichita’s lucky number is lowered to three after Yunior Severino hammered a walk-off two run RBI single to give the Surge a 3-2 victory against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals.

The game began as a pitchers duel, and it was not until the Naturals Jeison Guzman smashed an RBI single towards center field on a line drive in the top of the fourth.

Daniel Gossett took the mound and allowed five hits, one run in five innings pitched.

Tyler Cropley knocked his second home run of the season on a fly ball to right field doubling the Naturals lead to 2-0 in the seventh inning.

The Surge loaded the bases in the top of the ninth. Kasey Kalich issued a bases loaded walk to allow the first run of the game for Wichita.  Severino’s single delivered the win scoring a pair for the tenth walk-off win of the season.

Notes: The Wind Surge improve to 2-44 when trailing after eight innings.  The win was the 32nd come from behind win of the season. Yunior Severino extended his hit streak to 14; longest this season by a Wind Surge player.

Coming Up: The Wind Surge will resume action against the Naturals Sunday for a 1:05 p.m. first pitch. Cody Laweryson will get the start on the mound for Wichita and Anthony Veneziano will take the hill for the Naturals. Catch the game on MiLB.com, and Windsurge.com.
