Randy Lee Mapes, 32, of Quapaw, OK died Friday, November 13, 2020 at
Integris Miami Hospital, Miami, OK. He was born September 15, 1988 to
David Lee Mapes and Frances Rene (Ainsworth) Vogler in McPherson, KS.
Randy attended schools in McPherson, KS. He married Allysha
Montgomery in Smith Center, KS on July 10, 2013 and they were parents of
three boys Bentley, Brenner and Blayne. Randy worked as a Certified
Nurse Aide, working in many area facilities as a traveling CNA. He
loved to bake, always looking for a new and delicious recipe to try. He
enjoyed gardening and looked forward to trips to the greenhouse to
start planting. He also enjoyed taking the boys to the lake, fishing
and camping.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Fran Taylor, paternal grandfather Eddie Mapes and aunt Rhonda Hart.
He is survived by sons Bentley, Brenner and Blayne of Smith Center,
KS; father David (Jolene) Mapes of Joplin, MO; mother Frances Rene (Tim)
Vogler of Quapaw, OK; brother Derrick Mapes of Smith Center, KS; sister
Alysha Meade of McPherson, KS; and grandparents Kathy and Charlie Brown
of McPherson, KS. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces,
aunts and cousins.
