Salina man with two outstanding warrants arrested for trespassing along the Union Pacific railroad

A Salina man with two outstanding warrants, was arrested after trespassing on the Union Pacific (UP) railroad.

According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on Friday at around 4:30 pm, it was reported a couple of people were walking along the UP railroad in the area of Bishop Street.

SPD stated it is illegal to walk along the UP railways, since it is private property.

An officer was dispatched to the area and discovered a man identified as 23-year old, Colten Miller and a female walking on the railroad.

It was determined that Miller had two outstanding warrants from Saline County, which was for Probation Violation and 11 requested charges for Violation of a Protection Order.

Miller was then arrested and during the arrest, the officer located 2 grams of suspected methamphetamine on him.

He was booked into the Saline County Jail on the following requested charges of:

Possession of Methamphetamine, Drug Tax Stamp Violation, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Trespassing and for his two outstanding warrants. 

The female was cited and released on the scene.
