ASSARIA - A minor earthquake shook part of southern Saline County early this morning.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 2.5 magnitude quake struck at 5:49 a.m. Sunday south-southeast of Assaria. The quake was centered on Hopkins Road between E. Hobbs Creek Road and E. Rose Hill Road.
