Police: Salina man calls woman over 60 times before attempting to break into home

Salina law enforcement arrested a man who repeatedly called, texted and attempted to break into a woman's home.

According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on Wednesday just after midnight, a 26-year old female reported a known associate was trying to enter into her residence in north Salina.

Reportedly, Christopher Hernandez-Lopez (24) had been harrassing the victim by phone, before he arrived to her home.

SPD stated he attempted to call her over 60 times and sent 10 text messages.

Hernandez-Lopez then arrived to her home, which there were other residents inside as well. He then broke a screen door and attempted to gain entry.

Officers then arrived and arrested Hernandez-Lopez, after he resisted.

He was booked into the Saline County Jail for the requested charges of:

Aggravated Burglary (7), Stalking, Harassment by Telecommunication Device, Criminal Damage to Property and Obstruction.
