Popular ladies’ night encourages shoppers to shop, sip and support Downtown Abilene businesses
Grab your girlfriends and get ready to shop Downtown Abilene during the 7th Annual Downtown Abilene Boutique Crawl, Thursday, September 3.
This year’s event begins with a new Boutique Crawl Happy Hour at Rackets Tap House starting at 3:30 p.m. Shoppers can gather with friends before announcements begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the official start of the Boutique Crawl.
The first 50 women, ages 18 and older, in line will receive a complimentary grab bag filled with goodies from participating businesses.
“The Boutique Crawl has become one of those nights we look forward to every year,” said Angie Adams, Cypress Bridge Candle Co. “There’s such a fun energy downtown when you see groups of friends walking from store to store, discovering new things and supporting local businesses along the way.”
Throughout the evening, shoppers will receive one prize drawing ticket for every $10 spent at participating businesses. At the end of the event, tickets will be entered into drawings for grand prize and second-place prize baskets featuring items from local businesses.
For Downtown Abilene merchants, the Boutique Crawl is an opportunity to welcome new and returning customers while showcasing the variety of shopping available in the community.
“What makes the Boutique Crawl so much fun is that it gives people a reason to make an evening out of shopping downtown,” said Jamie Stroda, Aksent Boutique. “You can come with your friends, visit several businesses and find things you may not have discovered otherwise. We love seeing so many people out enjoying Downtown Abilene.”
Now in its seventh year, the Boutique Crawl has grown into a popular annual tradition that combines shopping, dining and time with friends while keeping dollars local.
“Small businesses depend on people choosing to shop local, and events like the Boutique Crawl make that choice fun,” said Cora Cossel, Hair Emporium. “It’s exciting to see people come downtown together, support our businesses and experience everything we have right here in Abilene.”
The 7th Annual Downtown Abilene Boutique Crawl takes place Thursday, September 3, with Happy Hour beginning at 3:30 p.m. at Rackets Tap House.
Announcements and grab bag distribution begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Boutique Crawl.
Participants are encouraged to arrive early, bring their friends and make an evening of shopping, dining and exploring Downtown Abilene.
