OMAHA, Neb. - Kansas Wesleyan Women's Indoor Track and Field posted a fifth place finish at the KCAC Championships on Friday and Saturday at the Lied Fitness Center.
The Coyotes finished with their highest point total in school history at the KCAC Indoor Championships with 70. The Coyotes were well ahead of York who finished sixth. Saint Mary was the team champion with a 198.5 points, Evangel was second with 138.5, Friends was third with 88, Ottawa was fourth with 80.5, followed by KWU.
The 4x400m relay set another school record as the group of Brionna Floyd, Joni Schroeder, Ava Kenyon and Hailey Nordhus ran a time of 4:11.23, finishing fourth in the event.
The Distance Medley Relay was All-KCAC with a second place finish as the group of Madisyn Ehrlich, Julie Rottinghaus, Lauryn Mikkelson and Josie Koppes finished with a time of 12:57.28.
Hailey Nordhus was All-KCAC in the 800m with a second place finish in 2:21.12, while Madisyn Ehrlich was ninth in 2:25.74 and Kirstin Hackney was 11th in 2:28.50.
The 4x800m was All-KCAC with a third place finish for the group of Joni Schroeder, Kirstin Hackney, Hailey Nordhus and Madisyn Ehrlich with a time of 9:38.22.
Madisyn Ehrlich was third in the 1000m with a time of 3:00.94 and Josie Koppes finished fifth with a time of 3:03.64.
Hailey Nordhus led the Coyote finishers in the 600m with an All-KCAC performance finishing third in 1:40.23. Kirstin Hackney was sixth in 1:43.21, Brionna Floyd was seventh in 1:43.89, Lauryn Mikkelson was ninth in 1:44.30, Ava Kenyon was 10th in 1:44.36 and Emma McAlister was 17th in 1:52.33.
Kierra Jensen finished fourth in the 5000m with a time of 18:15.32, Alayna Behrman was eighth in 19:18.07 and Charlee Lind was ninth in 20:11.34.
Joni Schroeder finished fifth in the mile with a time of 5:27.75, Mya Schweitzer was seventh in 5:38.88 and Charlee Lind was ninth in 5:49.49.
In the 3000m, Kierra Jensen was fifth in 10:44.27, Micah Dickens was sixth in 11:03.90, Alayna Behrman was eighth in 11:11.95, Makayla Little was 13th in 12:09.37 and Allyson Taylor was 15th in 12:23.49.
Elizabeth Stout was seventh in the shot put with a mark of 11.77m, Aunisty McNeal was 10th with a mark of 10.64m, and Chloe Grusing was 13th with a mark of 10.50m.
Elizabeth Stout was 11th in the weight throw with a mark of 12.71m, Roselyn Torres was 23rd with a mark of 10.71m, Chloe Grusing was 24th with a mark of 10.64m and Aunisty McNeal was 26th with a mark of 10.54m.
Markyla Shaw finished 12th in the long jump with a mark of 4.89m and Julie Rottinghaus was 13th with a mark of 4.86m.
Mayce Russell finished 16th in the 400m with a time of 64.76 seconds.
