Salina South grad Trent Hoover is one of six people recently announced as 2022 Middle School Coach of the Year by the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association.
Hoover is the head wrestling coach for Pioneer Ridge Middle School in Gardner Edgerton USD 231. He also serves as assistant wrestling coach at Gardner- Edgerton High School.
He is an elementary school physical education teacher at Edgerton Elementary School.
Concordia Middle School wrestling coach Josh Brown also was recognized as a Middle School Coach of the Year. Additionally, Brown serves as head wrestling coach for Concordia High School. He is a teacher at Concordia Elementary School.
